Our first wedding of spring recently took place at Crathorne Hall near Yarm. Debs and Chris had asked us along to entertain their guests, and we were more than happy to oblige!
Yorkshire isn’t short of amazing country house hotels, and Crathorne sits up there with the best of them. It’s been some years since we last visited, but the atmosphere was as relaxed and welcoming as we remembered it.
There was no first dance so we had to tempt everyone up to dance at the start of the night. Thankfully everyone was up for a party, so we didn’t need to try too hard! Because we try to make every night unique we had learned a request for our happy couple. We had a huge blast playing ‘We Built This City’ by Starship, and it was great to see the reaction it received.
Midnight came before we realised and our set ended on a high. The groom’s friends were in charge of the music for the rest of the night. We had a great laugh with them as they chopped and changed the playlist and even showed us a few records we hadn’t heard!
