Party Time for The Players

The Players
It was party time this weekend when we helped Sian and Stephen rock their joint 40th birthday celebrations. We delivered a set of party classics ably supported by wheelbarrows full of beer and a whole lot of cheese (the food – not the music)!
We were relatively close to home in the village of Barkston Ash situated between York and Leeds. The venue was the village hall which was a great place for a party, not least because of some really thick stone walls that ensured we didn’t disturb the neighbours! Our hosts were extremely gracious and made us feel really welcome as we set up ahead of the guests arriving.
To ensure our clients have a complete entertainment package we provide background music for every event, so once we were set up we put the ‘iPod DJ’ to work. We’d spoken to Sian prior to the event so we knew the type of music she wanted for her and her guests, so we were able tailor things to suit the event. It also helped us put our own set together with a range of songs and eras to get everyone dancing.
We received some great feedback from many of the guests at the end of the night and a really nice email from Sian and Stephen a few days later:
“We just wanted to write and say a huge thank you for your music on Saturday night. So many people commented on how brilliant you were and who were you and how did we know you etc etc! We had a fantastic time and so much of that was due to the great music you provided. Many thanks again and we shall be in touch for our 50th!”
If you’re planning a big celebration there’s nothing quite like live music to get the part started and add something special to your night. If you want to know how we can help, just get in touch.
