It’s safe to say we are a busy Yorkshire Wedding Band. We’ve spent most of 2019 travelling around our glorious county performing at weddings for dozens of couples and literally hundreds of guests.
We regularly share our experiences via our blog because we think our little part of the world has so many great venues and suppliers that are worth shouting about. Other people must think so too because we get a steady stream of visitors to our blog from all across the globe!
Here are our three most visited wedding blogs of the last 12 months. We hope you enjoy them!
Wedding band in the Yorkshire Dales – Yorebridge House
Vicky and Jason’s at Yorebridge House was one of the most memorable nights of the year. Not least because of the amazing scenery surrounding the venue. Our bride and groom were lovely too, and we got to hang out with some great fellow wedding suppliers! It was also one of the wettest nights of the summer and we ended up performing emergency vehicle repairs after hitting floodwater on the road some time around 1am!
Hooton Pagnell Hall Wedding Band
It was the very end of summer when we visited Hooton Pagnell Hall for the Catherine and Graham’s wedding. It was our first time at this amazing boutique venue and we were blown away by the welcome we received from the team at the venue – not to mention Catherine and Graham’s amazing guests!
A Spring Wedding at Crathorne Hall
Deb and Chris’ spring wedding at Crathorne Hall signalled the start of the main wedding season for us. We couldn’t have wished for a better beginning. This was a great wedding with a real family feel. We even got to play ‘We Built This City On Rock & Roll’ – what’s not to love!?
So, that was 2019. If you’re interested in what we could do for you in 2020 or beyond, just get in touch.
We took the band to Hooton Pagnell Hall for Catherine and Graham’s wedding in early September. Meteorologically speaking, summer was over, but this really didn’t feel like the typical Autumn wedding in Yorkshire. The sun was out as we arrived at this stunning location in the South Yorkshire countryside. We knew we were in for another hot night!
The Hall is an amazing boutique hotel which only hosts a limited number of weddings each year. We were setting up in their wonderful tithe barn for the evening’s entertainment. However, from speaking to guests throughout the night the wedding party had made use of nearly every corner of the venue throughout the day.
We often say that Yorkshire has some of the best independent wedding suppliers in the country, and the team at Hooton Pagnell definitely rank up with some of the best we’ve worked with. We’d had a full run down of the evening ahead of the event, and everyone we spoke to on the night was equally as organised. This meant our load in and set up went really smoothly and with minimum disruption to the guests.
Our couple had chosen Better Together by Jack Johnson for their first dance. This was a great laid back tune to start what was a really relaxed and informal evening. We were playing three sets, starting quite early on in the evening, so we took things steady to start with and built up the tempo as the night went on.
Catherine and Graham’s guests were in fine form and our iPad DJ kept them busy between sets. There were some really great moves on display!
The end of the night came around too quickly and we were soon off up the A1 and heading for home with our first wedding of Autumn all wrapped up!
