Unforgettable New Years Eve Party Band in York for Your Events

The band welcomed the new year with a party at The Grand Hotel in York. This is probably the venue we have performed at more times than any other. The Grand is York’s only five-star hotel. It sits inside one of the city’s most impressive historic buildings – the former North Eastern Railway Company’s headquarters. Originally built in 1906 this ‘palace of business’ is now a destination for luxury lovers. We have been part of so many wonderful events here, and for many years this has included New Years Eve.

This night is always lots of fun, but it also requires all of our experience as a party band. This is one night of the year where guests have paid a premium and expectations are extra high. It’s always a diverse crowd so we dig deep into our set list to make certain there’s something for everyone. We even pull out a few surprises that we’d never play on any other night of the year!

We also have a tight brief from the venue. Our performance starts whilst guests are still dining. So we need to act as background music and really pay attention to our volume and pace. Once food service is over we quickly switch to party mode and play the floor fillers! This is where our experience and professionalism really pays off. We can recognise what’s required of an event and tailor our performance to fit.

It’s always a thrill to play up to the countdown, and then keep the party going into the new year! It’s also fun to see those people who were quietly chatting and eating when we started filling the dance floor by the end. This is always the sign that we’ve done our job!
