Rebecca and David asked us to help get the party started at their Christmas wedding at Sandburn Hall near York. It was only a couple of days before Christmas and the whole venue looked amazing lit up for the celebrations.
If you don’t know it, we can totally recommend Sandburn as a great place for a wedding or any celebration. The team there are fabulous and the look and feel of the venue is amazing. We’ve played here plenty of times before and it’s always great fun.
Our couple had requested ‘Purple Rain’ by Prince for their first dance which really got everyone on the dance floor. We then kicked in with the up tempo numbers to keep them there.
As usual we mixed old and new songs to ensure that there was something for everyone, we even squeezed in some Christmas tunes! Our drummer Tom was also DJ for the evening so we were able to keep up the pace between sets!
Things started to wind down as we moved into the early hours of Christmas Eve, but there was still a full dance floor right up until the end of the night. This was our final wedding of 2016 and it was a great way to wind up the year.
