The band love a winter wedding. There’s something about the Yorkshire landscape that means it look amazing in all seasons. The Forge Valley was no exception as we headed towards Hackness Grange for Alice and Oscar’s wedding celebrations in February.

This wasn’t our first visit to Hackness. In fact, back in 2014 (!!!) we were the very first wedding band to play there, at their very first wedding! Literally, the paint was still wet as we were setting up!

Fast forward 11 years and were playing for Alice and Oscar’s mid-week celebrations. We are seeing more and more couples choose to hold their wedding mid-week. It’s often a chance to get more bang for your buck. Suppliers often offer a discount outside of the peak weekend dates. If you’re planning a mid-week wedding and want live music please get in touch.

Our couple had chosen My Cherie Amour by Stevie Wonder for their first dance. This is one of the unintended benefits of being in a wedding band. Over the years we have learned some of the greatest pop songs of all time by some amazing artists. As musicians it’s a great joy and honour to play some of these songs. And, let’s be honest, it’s also a joy to see a couple take their first dance!
