We were back in Yorkshire’s great outdoors for Neil and Aaron’s wedding in the beautiful village of Coxwold near York recently. Once again we were performing in a fabulous tipi from PapaKata and, once again, the weather was behaving itself!
Our couple had asked us to perform ‘Together You and I’ by Dolly Parton as their first dance. It’s not often that we haven’t heard the request we’re asked to perform, but this was a new one for us! Thankfully we’re all massive Dolly fans (who isn’t!?) and the lyrics in particular meant it was a great way to start the evening.
It was great to play for a crowd who were so up for a party. We quickly moved from some 60s classics into more modern indie and pop territory – and we even threw in a few slow ones. Our favourite part of the night was getting a second encore and being asked to perform the first dance again. This was an amazing way to finish a really memorable night for us.
